Young Man by Charles Ray
Young man by Charles Ray documents the stages of work and materials used to realize Young man (2012), a 1,500-pound sculpture in solid stainless steel. Printed on unbound pages, this publication, the first to provide such an in-depth look at the artist’s process, shows the development of the sculpture alongside a set of life-size details that can be reconfigured into two full-scale images of the work. This artist’s book was designed by Silvia Gaspardo Moro in close collaboration with Ray.
