In 1957 Ellsworth Kelly was commissioned to produce a 65-foot-long wall sculpture for a building in Philadelphia, his largest work at the time. Largely forgotten, it was eventually dismantled. This catalogue, published on the occasion of the sculpture‘s first exhibition in New York, includes an essay fully documenting its history and a four-page color fold-out reproduction. Sculpture for a Large Wall is now in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York. The book is presented in a slipcase paired with a catalogue reproducing seven recent shaped canvases by the artist.
