Published on the occasion of Alex Da Corte: Parade, the artist’s 2025 exhibition at Matthew Marks Gallery in New York, The Tomb documents Da Corte’s recreation of Paul Thek’s lost artwork of the same title from 1967. This book includes an illuminating conversation with curator Elisabeth Sussman in which Da Corte describes the origins of his interest in Thek’s work and his own project’s interwoven processes of research and making, extensively illustrated with photographs of the sculpture in progress in his studio.
